Joint CommitteeThe Sustainable Winegrowing Joint Committee was first brought together in 2001 by Wine Institute and the California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) to provide leadership and guidance for the development of the California Code of Sustainable Winegrowing Workbook. The Joint Committee has continued to provide technical guidance for the program over the past 19 years and played an important role in the development of the fourth edition of the Code workbook and recent updates to Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CCSW). To date, the committee has included more than 90 grower and vintner members of Wine Institute and CAWG. In addition to the countless hours contributed to the development and updating of the Code Workbook and CCSW, the Joint Committee provides technical guidance for the development of several other Sustainable Winegrowing Program projects, including the California Wine Community Sustainability Reports (2004, 2006, 2009, and 2015), and various grant projects. A wide range of stakeholders have also helped shape the Code Workbook and CCSW by providing input to the Joint Committee.
