Who Should Attend: Everyone – viruses affect our entire industry
Description: This event is the result of intense technical meetings of Lodi’s Mealybug Biocontrol & Grapevine Virus Research Focus Groups, comprised of volunteer growers, PCAs, scientists, extension personnel, and industry leaders who gather monthly to discuss short- and long-term strategies to solve our mealybug & virus challenges. We are happy to announce the following speakers: Prof. Gerhard Pietersen (leafroll virus expert, South Africa), Dr. Marc Fuchs (red blotch virus expert, Cornell University), Dr. Kent Daane (mealybug expert, UCCE), and Dr. James Stamp (grapevine quality expert, CA). We’ll pass out FREE male mealybug traps (thanks to Suterra) and a VINE MEALYBUG MANAGEMENT booklet. This meeting is part of an outreach grant funded by the American Vineyard Foundation and the CDFA PD/GWSS Board (thank you!).
