Knowing is always better than guessing in the business world and now you can take
the guesswork out of the true cost of the resources that you use. The California
Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance introduces a free, user-friendly tool to assist
growers and vintners in measuring and tracking their use of water, energy, nitrogen
and greenhouse gas emissions. Don’t let your business be at a competitive
disadvantage by spending more on vital resources.
-
Do you measure your water and energy use?
-
Do you collect resource data that you don’t know what to do with?
-
Do you want to start tracking your water and energy use, but don’t know how?
-
Discover how you can efficiently track your resource use to save money, reduce exposure to changing markets and save resources.
At the workshop you will learn:
-
What performance metrics are and the many benefits they have for business
-
How to use the online calculator to determine total Water use, Energy use, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, and Applied Nitrogen per unit of production
-
Why the connection between Water, Energy and GHGs is so valuable to a business
-
Where to get energy efficiency rebates and incentives that PG&E offers to increase energy and water conservation in wineries and vineyards
