"From our company's first days, our philosophy has been that healthy land lends itself to healthy vines which produce the best grapes which, ultimately, make the best wine.  I am committed to carrying out my grandfather Julio's vision for this land."

Topic Notes

9:00 a.m.-Noon  In computer classroom, use on-line system to fill out all chapters of the Code of Sustainable Winegrowing Practices Workbook.

Noon-1 p.m.   Lunch provided on site.

This is an opportunity for both previous and first-time participants to learn about and use the California Sustainable Winegrowing Program’s online system to assess the sustainability of their vineyard or winery operations.  The Code of Sustainable Winegrowing Practices Workbook is a valuable tool to learn about, track progress, and set goals in sustainable winegrowing and winemaking.

If you have a Workbook, please bring it with the previously mailed update packet inserted.  First-time participants will receive the 2nd edition Workbook.

Previous participants who have their personalized UserID and Password for online system access need to bring them to the workshop.  Those not having, or who have misplaced, their UserIDs and Passwords should contact Lisa Francioni at 415-356-7545 or lfrancioni@wineinstitute.org by March 1 and follow the process to obtain them and bring them to the workshop.  Assessments will be done using the college’s computers.
